Evaluation Board for iC-TW29 with MCU (for BiSS)

This evaluation can be used with the onboard preconfigured STM32 MCU allowing BiSS passthrough communication with the iC-TW29. The STM32 MCU can also be disabled allowing configuration via the standard TW29_1D programmer and iC-TW29 PC GUI.

When the MCU is enabled (JP8 removed), the MCU configures the iC-TW29 in BiSS passthrough mode (BISS_CFG2.passmode = 2). In this mode, all accesses to BiSS slave registers are passed through to the host processor (U7; STM32L431KBU6). The host processor responds as required and passes the requested data back to the iC-TW29 through the SPI interface.

To use the TW29_1D programmer with the TW29_4D eval board, first install JP8 on the TW29_4D to disable the on-board MCU. Then connect P5 on the TW29_1D Programmer to J4 on the TW29_4D using the supplied 10-pin ribbon cable jumper as shown in Figure 9 of the evaluation board manual.
